Maureen Needham

I'm a retired US Speed Skating team member who had extra time to use once off the ice. I started running marathons in 2002 when my mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and did Ironman Lake Placid in 2007.

Through 6 Ironmans, 6 Half Ironmans, and 15 marathons, plus a demanding job, I continue to try and live an active lifestyle. My husband Dave (also a retired US speedskating athlete) and I make triathlon part of some vacations. Most events I do support the multiple sclerosis society.

I push my boundaries every day "because I can," unlike so many who are not able to.
